SingTel to raise S'pore fixed-line charges from Jan 1

That is what I heard, not sure how true it is, but very likely it is the case. I will update when got more information.
** Update **
It is now confirmed: Singtel will increasecall rates from Jan. 1, 2009, because of rising salaries andincreased costs of materials. Subscription rates will rise byS$10 a year and call charges will increase to 0.8 Singapore centfrom 0.7 Singapore cent for every 30 seconds during peak hours.

Life is difficult. Oil falls to 8-month low below $90 a barrel, but never see our transportation fee comes down. Always rise fast and drop slow, or simply never drop.
A few days ago just annouce that electricity bills for Singapore households will go up by about 21 per cent - the highest one-time increase in seven to eight years - due to higher oil prices. But my pay never increase by more than 5%.......

That is true. Living cost is rising, people get tougher of living. :(
